Firmware update proposal relating to manual focus of the lens on the
Nikon CoolPix E990.

Problem:
Manual focus of the lens currently (E990 V1.0) involves a button being
pressed while the Command wheel is turned, requiring two fingers or a
finger and thumb. Also, there is no way to select fine or course focus
adjustment steps.
Suggested solution:
The firmware be updated such that the Multi selector can be used to
manually focus of the lens in either fine or course adjustment steps
without the need for a additional button to be pressed.
The Multi selector on the Nikon CoolPix E990 has four positions which could
be used to provide fine and course focus adjustments.
For example, pressing the LEFT or RIGHT edges of the Multi selector could
focus in or out in course steps while pressing on the TOP or BOTTOM edges
could focus in or out in fine steps.
The advantage of this proposal over the current (E990 V1.0) setup would be
increased speed to a particular focus point as well as finer control. Also,
no second button need be pressed to enable manual focus adjustment, making
manual focus a less cumbersome operation.
